Types of Covered Expenses

Typical expenses covered under the Law Center’s Student Emergency Relief Fund are those resulting from an extreme financial hardship arising from unforeseen circumstances, including fire, flood or other natural disaster, emergency medical expenses, accidents, major theft, travel emergencies, and the like. The unprecedented worldwide pandemic and unforeseeable associated medical and economic disruptions are an example of these types of circumstances. These funds are not intended to be used for routine expenses nor as a consistent supplement to a student’s education funding sources. Requests must be urgent in nature.
