Mulvihill, Powell, Shkodra and Mader take first place at 2020 LSU Law Transactional Competition

The 2020 LSU Law Transactional Competition wrapped up on March 3, with students Nathan Mulvihill, Allison Powell, Lindrit Shkodra and Blane Mader taking first place.

The internal competition aims to develop students’ skills in contract drafting and negotiation. This year, teams drafted and negotiated a $2.5 billion capital stock acquisition agreement.

Mulvihill and Powell were named the best team on the buyer’s side of the negotiations and they also won Best Overall Contract. Shkodra and Mader took first place honors for the seller’s side of the negotiations.

Second- and third-year law students annual compete as teams of two in the Transactional Competition, which unfolds over three stages.
