‘Louisiana Law Review’ inviting LSU Law faculty to attend junior associate presentations, provide feedback

Louisiana Law Review

Louisiana Law Review is inviting LSU Law faculty to its annual junior associate presentations on Thursday, Oct. 24.

To provide second-year LSU Law students with additional feedback on the articles they’re writing for publication consideration next spring, Louisiana Law Review is inviting LSU Law faculty to its annual junior associate presentations this year.

In previous years, only second- and third-year Louisiana Law Review students were invited to the presentations.

“At this point, the junior associates have only submitted their first drafts, and we think that providing some peer review from the faculty will really help them make their articles the best they can possibly be,” says Executive Senior Editor Delery Perret. “It’s the first time we’ve done this, and we’re planning on making it an annual event.”

Twenty-four junior associates will deliver presentations at five rooms in the LSU Law Center on Thursday, Oct. 24, beginning at 5:40 p.m. and concluding about two hours later. Each student will have 10 to 15 minutes to present, followed by a five-minute comment period.

The junior associates will use the presentation feedback to refine their articles as they prepare to submit final drafts in January. Of the 24 students presenting, only about 12 to 15 will have their articles published in Volume 80 of the Louisiana Law Review.
