LSU Law 2019 graduate MJ Hernandez was selected as the recipient of the school’s American Law Institute CLE Scholarship & Leadership Award.

Each year, law schools are invited by the American Law Institute to select a student for the award, which recognizes the law student in the graduating class who best represents a combination of scholarship and leadership.

Hernandez, from Mandeville, graduated Magna Cum Laude and was inducted into the national honorary law fraternity The Order of the Coif. He also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Louisiana Law Review, was a board member of the Board of Advocates, and graduated with more than 50 hours of pro bono service.

Hernandez was honored with the award in a ceremony at the LSU Law Center on May 23.

As a recipient of this award, Hernandez receives free tuition to an ALI CLE webcast or on-location course of his choice and a free one-year subscription to the ALI CLE Digital Content Library, with access to online articles, forms and course materials in his areas of interest.
