While visiting with the LSU Law Summer in Lyon Program, Dean Tom Galligan met with the Lyon Dean Hervé de Gaudemar to sign the renewal of the Accord with University Jean Moulin, which has been in place since 2003.
The two schools have worked together for 15 years, allowing over the years hundreds of LSU Law students to participate in the summer program. The number of LSU Law students visiting for a longer period (semester abroad) keeps growing, some coming back to earn the Lyon LL.M. in European and International Business Law (in English).
A number of LSU faculty, judges, and top practitioners travel with the students to teach in the summer program in Lyon. In return, LSU Law has welcomed almost every year Lyon students as exchange students or in its LL.M. in Comparative Law.
This year, more than 40 LSU Law students participated in the Lyon program and had the fortune of being a part of the celebration over the French national soccer team’s World Cup victory.
