Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court team places in top 16 at national competition

A female and male student wearing suits pose for a photo with a marble wall in the backgroundCongratulations to the Law Center’s National Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition team of Seth Lawrence and Hannah Marler, who placed as one of the “Sweet Sixteen” teams in the National Octofinals of the competition, which were held in New York, NY from March 5-8, 2017.  The team was coached by Mr. Sam Lumpkin (’13) of Kean Miller LLP.

The National Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition is co-sponsored by the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University and BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.), the performing rights organization, and is dedicated to fostering the development of intellectual property and entertainment law attorneys.  This was LSU Law’s first time participating in the competition.
