The LSU Law Center and the Eric Voegelin Institute will present a discussion on Jan. 22 about juries in today’s changing landscape of individual rights.
Faulkner University Law School professor Adam MacLeod will present a talk titled “The Jury in the Age of Public Rights,” and LSU Law professors Raff Donelson and Paul Baier will comment on the address.
MacLeod teaches Property, Intellectual Property, and the intersection of Law and Public Policy at Faulkner Law. In May, Cambridge University Press published MacLeod’s book “Property and Practical Reason,” which makes a moral argument for common law property institutions and norms, and challenges the prevailing dichotomy between individual rights and state interests.
The discussion will be held at 3 p.m. Jan. 22 in LSU Law’s McKernan Auditorium.
