Institute for Energy Law and LSU Law Center Announce Co-Presented Symposium: Career Paths for Young Attorneys in the Energy Sector

The Institute for Energy Law (IEL) and the LSU John P. Laborde Energy Law Center are proud to announce the upcoming Career Paths for Young Attorneys in the Energy Sector Symposium, to be held April 4-5, 2014 at the LSU Law Center.

The conference has been organized by co-chairs Patrick Dunn of EDF Trading Resources, LLC in Austin and Keith B. Hall of the LSU Law Center.

Symposium topics will include:

• In-house legal work
• Working as a landman
• Becoming a negotiator
• Regulatory and compliance opportunities

All topics will be delivered by senior industry professionals interested in helping new graduates. A panel of employer experts will conclude the symposium by addressing key skill sets necessary for success, with particular consideration being given to students not falling within the top ranks of graduates but who have skills and interest in working in the energy sector.

Informal networking opportunities will also be available to give attendees the chance to speak with industry participants one-to-one or in small groups.
