Chesapeake Energy Corporation Annual Scholarship

Chesapeake Energy Corporation was formed in 1989 and is headquartered in Oklahoma City and its operations are focused on discovering and developing uncoventional natural gas and oil fields onshore in the U.S. The company has leading positions in the Barnett (TX), Fayetteville (AR), Haynesville (LA and East TX), Marcellus (W. Virginia and New York) and Bossier natural gas shale plays. Chesapeake is a firm believer in giving back to the communities in which they operate. The Chesapeake Energy Corporation Annual Scholarship was established in 2010 and will be awarded to full-time, second or third-year student(s) at the Law Center, and financial need may be a consideration. Recipients of this scholarship may retain this scholarship for an additional year(s) provided funds are available and the student continues to meet the eligibility requirements.
