LSU Law to graduate Class of 2018 on June 1

The 2018 LSU Law Commencement ceremony will be held Friday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. More than 170 graduates will receive their degrees at the ceremony. The 50-year Golden Graduates Class of 1968 will also be honored at the event.

Can't make it? Watch the Commencement ceremony online

For those unable to attend, the 2018 Commencement ceremony will be streamed online starting at 9 a.m. on June 1. The live stream will begin with a loop of photos submitted by the graduates of the Class of 2018 and then display the graduation ceremony in its entirety.

Congressman Steve Scalise to deliver Keynote Address

LSU alumnus Rep. Steve Scalise, U.S. House Majority Whip and the third ranking House Republican leader, will deliver the keynote address at the LSU Law Commencement. Scalise represents the First Congressional District of Louisiana, which covers much of southeast Louisiana, including the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain and the New Orleans suburbs.

Nine LSU Law students selected for induction into The Order of the Barristers

Nine members of the LSU Law Class of 2018 have been selected as inductees into the Order of the Barristers. The Order of Barristers is a national honorary organization whose purpose is the encouragement of oral advocacy and brief writing skills through effective law school oral advocacy programs. Students who have excelled in moot court, mock trial, brief writing, oral advocacy, and other advocacy programs throughout their time at the LSU Law Center are selected to join the Order.
