Please be reminded to pay all fees by May 22 to the LSU Bursar’s office.
View your account at myLSU. 

There is no need to order cap and gowns at this time.
You may still order announcements and rings from Balfour.

The crawfish boil is cancelled for now, and all students will be refunded full payments.
Gifts may still be made to the Class Gift, and are appreciated.
Free certificates of appreciation are still available, with delivery to be determined.
We’d love to still get your favorite photos of your years at PMH.

Commencement Checklist & Instructions

Prior to Commencement

March 16 – 17
9:00 – 4:00 each day; Lobby area outside Rooms 110 and 107
Sign Up for photos and other Commencement Activities at the LSU Law Grad Fair: 

  1. Schedule time to take cap and gown photos
  2. Order your cap and gown, invitations and rings
  3. Register for 3L/LLM Celebration Crawfish Boil/Jambalaya Dinner, May 14, 2020
  4. Support Champions for Future Champions/Classroom to Courtroom project as your Class gift and legacy of support
  5. Order free Certificates of Appreciation
May 1
Register for the family-friendly Annual 3L/LLM Crawfish Boil and Jambalaya Farewell Event to be held on May 14 at 5 p.m., LSU Mini Farm, Ag Center Drive, LSU Campus (grads and children under 10 free; guests $25 ea.) It’s all you can eat, air conditioned, has restrooms, and easy parking. It’s great fun for family and friends.
May 8 Turn in Dean’s Certificate for your Bar Exam to Admissions/Student Records.
May 8 If NOT attending ceremony, email lawregistrar@lsu.edu
May 8 Submit requests for free Certificates of Appreciation. Alumni Office will email when ready, or available from Alumni Office on the Fourth Floor.
May 8 Submit photos for the Commencement slideshow to SteveSanoski@lsu.edu
Week of May 15 or sooner Pick up cap & gown at LSU Bookstore (inform EARLY if any problems with order). Return all rented regalia to the Bookstore following Commencement.
May 22 Pay all fees owed to the University at the LSU Bursar’s Office (125 T. Boyd Hall). Diplomas will be MAILED to eligible students after May 29 and after all financial obligations have been paid. Please view your account at myLSU.
June 1 Complete Employment Survey, even if unemployed. Required by at graduation & 10 months post. Once employed, please submit additional survey, through March 2021.
June 30 Donate to the Class of 2020 Class Gift Campaign (Champions for Future Champions/Classroom to Courtroom project) & receive commemorative gift of leather portfolio, etched glassware, or Law Center etching…or receive all three based on your level of gift!
