This event extends an opportunity for BLSA members to engage in conversation with a member of the legal community about law and various intersecting areas, i.e. politics. It will be a forum to discuss deposit of intellectual capital.

The Social Justice & Policy Journal of the South will hold a meeting to inform anyone who is interested in becoming a member and writing with us in Fall 2020. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend to learn about the benefits of scholarly writing, what our new journal is about, and how to get involved.
This event is presented by the Pugh Institute for Justice, the Diversity and Professionalism Committee and the American Constitution Society. The panel will feature Professor Todd Brower of the Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy at UCLA School of Law, Andrea L. Rubin of Delaney, Robb & Rubin, Attorneys at Law, L.L.C., and A’Niya Robinson of the ACLU of Louisiana. The panel with discuss the current state of LGBTQ clients and attorneys in law, policy and society as well as their treatment in courts.
