Dr. Sean Patrick Donlan ('99) - University of Limerick, Ireland, was named a member of the International Academy of Comparative Law and awarded the George Sarton Medal (Ghent University, Belgium) for work in legal history.  He was also elected President of Juris Diversitas and General Secretary of the World Society for Mixed-Jurisdiction Jurists.  In addition to several articles, including publications in the Journal of Civil Law Studies and the Tulane European & Civil Law Forum, he co-edited The Law and Other Legalities of Ireland, 1689-1850 (2011).  He was also named to the Advisory Board of LSU's Center for Civil Law Studies.

Parker Layrisson ('02) - of Parker Layrisson Law Firm, has opened a satellite office in Baton Rouge on Louisiana Avenue.  Layrisson has another satellite office in New Orleans in addition to his main office in Ponchatoula.
