1950s

Gene W. Lafitte ('52) is an attorney in Antitrust Law, Appellate Law, Commercial Litigation, Energy and Natural Resources Law and Oil & Gas Law with Liskow & Lewis in New Orleans. He was recently selected by his peers to "The Best Lawyers in
America 2009," which he has been selected to for at least 25 years.

Burrell J. Carter ('58), chief judge of the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal, has been reappointed to the American Bar Association Judicial Division Ethics and Professionalism Committee for the 2008-2009 year.

Chuck Ryan ('58) lives in Oaxaca, Mexico, where he has lived for 10 years and welcomes vists from any LSU Law alum or student in the area.

Robert A. "Pete" Seale Jr. ('69) is an attorney in Trusts and Estate Law with Liskow & Lewis in Houston. He was recently

John M. Wilson ('67) is an attorney in Commercial Litigation with Liskow & Lewis in New Orleans. He was recently

Leon J. Reymond Jr. ('69) is an attorney in Banking, Corporate Law and Real Estate Law with Liskow & Lewis in New Orleans. He was recently selected by his peers to "The Best Lawyers in

Edwin C. Schilling III ('69) is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel. He retired in 1989 after 20 years as a USAF Judge Advocate General and opened a practice in Aurora, Colorado limited to the division and valuation of federal retirements in divorce. He is in the process of retiring again to spend more time at his family's vacation home in Alaska.

Ron Faucheux, 1974Ron Faucheux ('74) is president of Clarus Research Group, a nonpartisan polling and full-service public affairs research firm based in Washington, D.C. He also teaches at George Washington University and Georgetown University.

Stanley K. Hurder ('77) currently serves as deputy general counsel for the Louisiana Office of Group Benefits in Baton Rouge. He is also proud to say his daughter, Rose Marie Hurder, is a member of the LSU Law School Class of 2008.

Leu Anne Greco, 1978Leu Anne Lester Greco ('78) is now executive counsel for the Louisiana Department of Economic Development.

Linda Lynch ('83) teaches pre-K through 5th-grade Spanish full-time at St. James Episcopal Day School in Baton Rouge. She adds that children are cuter and more fun than opposing counsel ever were.

Bruce Louis Rich ('87), a professor at the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business, recently published an article in the Florida State University Law Review titled, "A Theory of Unconscionability: An Empirical Study of Law in Action." He also recently climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

David Wheat, 1988R. David Wheat ('88), an attorney in tax law with Thompson & Knight LLP's Dallas office, was recently honored in "The Best Lawyers in America 2009." He was also named to the Texas Super Lawyers 2008 list, which reflects only the top five percent of attorneys in Texas.

Paul Lafleur, 1992Paul M. Lafleur ('92) is a partner in the small insurance defense firm of Hughes & Lafleur in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Beth Osborne, 1996Beth Osborne ('96) and her husband, Mike, recently had a baby girl, Ellis Joyce Olander. Beth is currently working for the junior senator from Delaware, Tom Carper.

Kriste Talton ('96) married Chris Utley at their home in New Orleans in June.

Sean Patrick Donlan ('99) is a lecturer in law at the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland.

2000s

Kevin Ainsworth, 2000Kevin Ainsworth ('00) is a special counsel with Jones Walker in Baton Rouge.

Allie Carlson ('00) is currently working at Alston & Bird in New York in the firm's State and Local Tax Controversy Group. Earlier this year, she gave birth to a baby boy, Jack Carlson. She and her husband love Manhattan but miss CC's coffee, shrimp po-boys and LSU Football.

Darrin Forte, 2000Darrin L. Forte ('00) and his partners founded the firm of Garrison, Yount, Lormand, Forte & Mulcahy, LLC, with offices in New Orleans and Tampa, Florida.

Todd Keator, 2002Todd D. Keator ('02), an associate in Thompson & Knight LLP's Dallas office, was named to the Texas Rising Stars 2008 list. The list represents the top 2.5 percent of Texas attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or have been practicing for 10 years or less.

Yvette E. Dumas ('03) is with the firm of Becker & Associates, APLC in Lafayette, where she practices Commercial, Real Estate and Business Law.

Renee Dupre, 2005Renee A. Dupre ('05) joined Thompson & Knight's Oil & Gas Practice Group as a staff associate in the firm's Houston office.

Katie Drell Grissel ('07) completed her year-long clerkship with the Hon. W. Eugene Davis of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is now with Vinson & Elkins in Dallas as an associate in the Reorganization and Restructuring Section.

Whitney LaNasa, 2007Whitney Little LaNasa ('07) is an associate at Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson in Baton Rouge. Her principle areas of practice include business transactions, corporate advisory, banking, finance and healthcare. She also serves on the Youth Education Committee and the Law Expo Committee for the Baton Rouge Bar Association.

Jonathan McCartney, 2007Jonathan McCartney ('07) is an associate with the firm of Wilkinson, Carmody & Gilliam in Shreveport, where he practices mainly in the areas of rail road defense litigation and utility regulatory work.
