1980s

Patrick-Blanchard-2015-1-290x300 Patrick Blanchard (’89) has joined the Development and Public Relations Department of the Louisiana United Methodist Children and Family Services as its new Director and in-house legal counsel. He previously served as the Marketing and Program Coordinator for the organization.

1990s

Wiley Richmond Beevers ('98) has begun a detail assignment as an Attorney-Advisor in the Office of the General Counsel, United States Trade Representative, Executive Office of the President, in Washington, D.C. His duties include advising on questions of Admiralty and Maritime Law, Customs and International Trade Law, comparative Civil and Common Law, European Union law, and international trade litigation and negotiations.

2000s

Michelle_White Michelle Marney White (’00) has been elected the 2016-17 Chair of the Louisiana State Bar Association Environmental Law Section, having served on the Section Council since 2010. She is a Partner at Taylor Porter.
Christopher L. Chauvin (’02) of Thompson & Knight has been selected for inclusion in Texas Rising Stars 2016 by Thomson Reuters.
J. Parker Layrisson (’02) recently published a book titled "Accident Handbook: The Practical Guide to Louisiana Personal Injury Law for Car Wreck Victims." It is available on Amazon.com and at Bayou Booksellers in Hammond, La.
Andrew Melsheimer (’02) has been elected to Board Member of Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). He is a Partner in Thompson & Knight’s International Energy Practice Group in the firm’s Dallas office.
Todd Keator (’04) of Thompson & Knight has been selected for inclusion in Texas Rising Stars 2016 by Thomson Reuters.
Margaret Patton Margaret Patton (’06) has joined the Baton Rouge office of Bradley Murchison Kelly & Shea LLC as special counsel. Her practice involves working in the areas of energy and natural resources, environmental litigation and regulatory compliance and commercial and business litigation.
Scott Patton Scott Patton (’06) has joined the Baton Rouge office of Bradley Murchison Kelly & Shea LLC as special counsel. His practice focuses on the areas of energy and natural resources and government and regulatory affairs.
Stephen S. Everett (’07) has been appointed to the Leon County Court in Florida. He previously served as an assistant public defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit and as an assistant state attorney for the 12th Judicial Circuit.
Erin Marino (’07) has joined Thompson & Knight LLP’s Dallas office as an Associate in the Real Estate and Banking Group. Ms. Marino focuses her practice on complex commercial real estate transactions with an emphasis on real estate finance, acquisitions and disposition.
Laranda Walker Laranda M. Walker (’07) has joined the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit as a law clerk for Judge Gregg Costa.

2010s

James F. Reid (’13) had one of his positions adopted by the NCAA, based on an article he had published in the Arizona State Law Journal his third year of law school.
