LSU Law professor Chris Tyson receives 2017 LSU Brij Mohan Distinguished Professor Award

LSU Law Professor Chris Tyson has been selected as the recipient of the 2017 LSU Brij Mohan Distinguished Professor Award. This award recognizes a full-time associate professor who serves as a model for the community in demonstration of a commitment to peace, equality, and social justice. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court team places as national quarterfinalists

Admiralty Moot Court teams win first and second place best brief; Purple team places as semifinalists

Congratulations to the Law Center’s John R. Brown National Admiralty Law Moot Court Competition “Purple” and “Gold” teams, who competed with great success at this year’s Admiralty Moot, which was held March 23-25, 2017 in New Orleans.   The Law Center’s “Purple” team — students John Nickel, Josie Serigne and Jessie Finley — was awarded the Maritime Law Association of the United States Best Brief Award.
