21 LSU Law Students Named to 2017-18 Moot Court Board

Twenty-one second-year LSU Law students have been selected as members of the 2017-18 Moot Court Board. Moot Court Board membership is an academic honor awarded to those students who receive the highest cumulative scores on their appellate brief and individual oral arguments in the Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition.

The mission of the Moot Court Board is to promote professional advocacy skills among the student body and provide a method of training in independent research, brief writing, and oral advocacy. Members of the Moot Court Board provide support for the development of skills in advocacy in a number of ways, including sponsoring appellate advocacy competitions at the Law Center, assisting in practice oral arguments for first-year students and providing logistical support for the Law Center’s external appellate advocacy competition teams.

The members of the 2017-2018 Moot Court Board were recognized at the final round of the 2016 Robert Lee Tullis Moot Court Competition on Oct. 24.
