Representatives from Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips LLP presented a check to the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center on Wednesday morning to go toward the annual scholarship fund.

Each year, the law office sponsors the Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips Annual Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a second- or third-year student who ranks scholastically among the top 10 percent in the class, has financial need and has contributed to Law Center scholarly activities. The scholarship program was established through the LSU Foundation by members of the law firm of Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips in memory of their late partners, Benjamin B. Taylor Sr. and Charles V. Porter.

Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips Managing Partner and LSU Law Center Class of 1983 graduate Skip Phillips presented the check to Dean Thomas Galligan. Also in attendance from the law firm were David Shelby (Class of ’93), Robin Toups (Class of ’06), John Murrill (Class of ’95) and Bob Barton.

The LSU Law Center greatly appreciates Taylor, Porter, Brooks & Phillips for its generous scholarship donation that will help support our LSU Law students.
