Master Lawyers and Judges Participate in Third Annual Apprenticeship Week

Students sit at long tables in a room with books on one wall and painted portraits on anotherSome 140 second and third-year students turned out for the third-annual LSU Law Apprenticeship Week held January 4 -8, 2016.  The program offers a variety of mini-courses aimed at providing students with focused, task-oriented training not generally available in law school courses and usually available only through actual practice experience.

Courses offered included practical, hands-on topics taught by volunteer master lawyers and judges. The one-hour credit program is offered free to participating students who devote the week to thoughtful preparation for class and diligent work in assigned individual and group projects.  Numerous visiting faculty have been with the program since inception three years ago. The Law Center extends its gratitude to all of the visiting faculty.
