Message from Chancellor Jack Weiss:
Dear Students, Faculty and Staff Colleagues:
I am forwarding information related to an important initiative of the LSU System campuses. LSU has established a new Ethics & Integrity Hotline www.lsu.ethicspoint.com to report possible fraudulent, unethical, or otherwise inappropriate behavior in violation of LSU by-laws, or policies.
As noted in the message below, no specific allegations or violations have precipitated this initiative. The reporting system has been established as part of an overall goal of transparency, honesty and professionalism for all LSU campuses.
I encourage you to read and to take careful note of the message below. As always, I appreciate your role in fostering a positive and ethical environment at the LSU Law Center.
With my kindest regards and best wishes for the remainder of the summer.
LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center
Message from LSU Administration
At LSU, we strive to achieve excellence at all levels of our institutions, and pride ourselves in fostering an environment of the highest degree of ethical standards. It is our belief that each stakeholder of our community is a part of that effort.
We ask for your support in assisting LSU in maintaining an environment with the highest degree of ethical standards and principles, and although we do not believe unethical actions characterize LSU, we do want to ensure that we have effective ways of reporting activities that we believe are inappropriate. To help in that effort, LSU has implemented the LSU Ethics & Integrity Hotline, a phone and Internet-based reporting system.
The LSU Ethics & Integrity Hotline is a third-party reporting system managed by an outside organization, EthicsPoint. It provides a secure and confidential means to report activities that may involve fraudulent, unethical, or otherwise inappropriate behavior in violation of LSU by-laws, or policies. We have implemented the LSU Ethics & Integrity Hotline as a reporting mechanism to aid all members of our community in working with LSU to report possible issues of financial irregularities, fraud, abuse, misconduct, and other violations, while committing to cultivate a positive, rich environment for all of our stakeholders.
The LSU Ethics & Integrity Hotline system is securely configured to protect the identity of the reporter, if they wish to remain anonymous, while still providing a formal mechanism for investigation, communication between the investigator and the reporter during follow-up, and response. You may file a report through the LSU Ethics & Integrity Hotline www.lsu.ethicspoint.com or by telephoning toll-free 855-561-4099.
