The Law of the Jungle: The Perils of Complex Litigation

Paul Barrett, author, attorney and assistant managing editor of Bloomberg Businessweek, will present “The Law of the Jungle: The Perils of Complex Litigation” on Friday, September 6 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. in Room 110 at the LSU Law Center.  Joining Mr. Barrett for a panel discussion will be Professors Michael Coenen, Kat Macfarlane and Margaret Thomas.  LSU Law students, Reunion Class of 1973, 1983, 1993, 2003 and 2008, and the public are invited.  Reunion class members will receive free CLE credit.

Mr. Barrett, a distinguished writer, will speak on his forthcoming book about Ecuadorian litigation that pits two of our nation’s most prestigious law firms against each other. The book chronicles the Chevron oil pollution case, and it is scheduled for publication in 2014.  Mr. Barrett is also the author of GLOCK: The Rise of American’s Gun (2012), a New York Times bestseller.
