Family and friends of LSU Law students are invited to attend Family Weekend, February 10 and 11. Family Weekend is a tradition that gives family members and friends of first year law students the opportunity to observe life at the LSU Law Center, while family of upper classmen will gather for a campus-wide bar-b-q on Saturday, February 11.
Family Weekend kicks off on Friday, February 10, when family and friends are invited to attend class with their first year student. Earliest classes begin at 8:00 a.m. Family members of students whose classes begin at a later time simply need to arrive in time to register and enjoy refreshments before classes begin. We encourage carpooling to campus with the student due to limited parking.
Once classes are finished, family and friends can see more of the beautiful LSU campus by taking advantage of campus tours given by the LSU Ambassadors. The day ends with the first annual Casino Night, which will include a chance to play popular casino games with fake money, enjoy food and beverages, and meet other LSU law student families, faculty and staff.
The fun continues on Saturday, February 11, when the first year class will host the LSU Law Family Bar-B-Q that is open to all members of the Law Center and their families. The bar-b-q will be provided by Voo Doo BBQ and Grill.
Please RSVP to 1LClassOfficers@gmail.com. Please indicate the number of guests in your party in the subject line, along with the student’s name.
