LSU Law Center Chancellor Jack M. Weiss announced today the appointment of Christina M. Sautter as Assistant Professor Law, effective Fall 2008.
Professor Sautter joined the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law faculty as a Westerfield Fellow in Fall 2006 and has taught Mergers and Acquisitions, Legal Writing and Research, and Moot Court Appellate Advocacy.
“Professor Sautter is a valuable addition to our faculty,” said Chancellor Weiss. “Her knowledge and experience in corporate and securities law will add depth to our program and important new course offerings for our students.”
She graduated summa cum laude and The Order of the Coif from Villanova University School of Law. Professor Sautter earned her B.S. in Multinational Business Operations and Marketing from Florida State University, graduating summa cum laude.
While attending law school, Professor Sautter served as a managing editor of the Villanova Law Review. She later served as a law clerk for the Honorable H. Emory Widener, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Professor Sautter joined the New York City offices of Shearman & Sterling LLP where she practiced for three years in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group.
The professor’s teaching and scholarly interests include business associations, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, employment discrimination, land use planning, and corporate law.
She will teach Business Associations, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Securities Regulations.
