LSU currently ranks among the top 30 public universities in total research awards. The University's total federal funding; from agencies such as the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and the Department of Homeland Security; has increased 86 percent or more than $90 million over the last five years.

Rankings

Student rankings are calculated at the end of each semester. All J.D. /C.L students are awarded an individual class rank and course rank for each course taken. First year students are also awarded a section rank. Students may view their individual class ranks, course ranks, and section ranks via their PAWS account. Posted below are tables highlighting the spread of ranks for each class for previous semesters.
