He served as Reporter and Chair of the Louisiana State Law Institute’s Corporations Law Committee. The Corporations Committee is reviewing and modifying the Model Business Corporation Act for adoption in Louisiana. With co-author Wendell Holmes, Professor Morris completed the 2012 supplement to Louisiana Business Organizations, Volumes 7 & 8 of the Louisiana Civil Law Treatise Series. Brief BiographyProfessor Morris received his law degree, with high honors, from the University of Florida in 1980, where he was a member of the Law Review and Order of the Coif. He practiced law in Jacksonville, Florida, from 1980 to 1983 in the fields of business planning, corporate finance, securities law, and mergers and acquisitions.
