Internationally acclaimed LSU Law Professor Olivier Moreteau, holder of the Russell B. Long Eminent Scholars Academic Chair and Director of the Law Center's Center for Civil Law Studies, is the featured speaker at the annual John H. Tucker, Jr. lecture. The LSU Law Center will present the twenty-third annual John H. Tucker, Jr. Lecture in Civil Law on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. The title of Moreteau's lecture is, "The Future of Codes in France and Louisiana."
Professor Moreteau joined the LSU Law Center faculty in the summer of 2005 following a distinguished career in Europe. He previously served as Professor at the Universite Pierre Mendes-France in Grenoble, and as Professor of Comparative Law and Director of the Edouard Lambert Institute of Comparative Law in Lyon, France, among other positions held over his career.
