How do I Find An Article If It Is Not Full Text?

To locate the full text of journal articles not available in the database you were searching:

a. In most databases, click on the LinkSource logo, and follow the links to full-text.

b. In WilsonWeb products, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books and Index to Legal Periodicals Retro, click on the Wilson Link logo, .

c. Or, write down or print out the citation information of the article or articles you want to find, or open a new browser window.

  1. Then, on the LSU Law Library homepage (http://www.law.lsu.edu/library), select E Journal Finder from "Articles & More."
    Enter the title of the journal in the search box.

     
  2. If the library subscribes to the journal in electronic form or through another online database, it will appear on the results page. Be sure to note the coverage dates available. Click on the appropriate title.

  3. Use the information from the article's citation to find your particular article within the e-journal.

c. If the library does not subscribe to the journal in an electronic form, you should search the library's catalog to find in in print. On the LSU Law Library homepage (http://www.law.lsu.edu/library), select LSU Law Library catalog under "Books & More."

d. Enter the title of the journal in the search box and click "journal title."

e. The catalog record will indicate if the library subscribes to the journal in print. If so, note the dates to make sure they correspond with the date of the article you need, the call number and the library location where the journal is loacated.

f. If the LSU Law Library does not have your article, check the LSU Libraries catalog.

g. If neither the LSU Law Library nor the LSU Libraries have your article, please complete an Interlibrary Loan request.
