Shreveport Bar Members Meet New LSU Law Chancellor9/13/2007Shreveport, LouisianaMore than 60 Shreveport area bench and bar members gathered at a reception on Thursday, September 13 to meet the new Chancellor of the LSU Law Center, Jack Weiss. The event, held at the University Club, kicks off A Tradition of Excellence–the Campaign for LSU Law. Part of the Forever LSU campaign, it is an unprecedented fundraising effort by which LSU Law Center alumni intend to raise $28 million to underwrite scholarships and additions to the law curriculum. Campaign efforts have realized close to $9 million thus far. Sam Gregorio, Chair of the Northwest Louisiana Steering Committee, organized the event.
