"The accessibility of the faculty really sticks out, both regarding class material and outside interests. Whether it was playing a round of golf with Professor Chris Pietruszkiewicz or talking college football with Professor Bill Corbett, I always felt at ease in my interactions with the faculty."

WinSCP Installation and Configuration Instructions
The Law Center has provided a way for students, faculty and staff to gain access to their home drive (H: Drive) and share drive (S: Drive) from any laptop or desktop PC connected to the Internet. We have a secure file transfer system which allows users to transfer files to and from the servers at the Law Center. This allows you to keep important documents and files in a secure place that is backed up regularly and which you can access from any location where you have internet access.
Please follow the steps below to set up the Secure File Transfer (SFTP) software.
Host Name: lawsrv1.law.lsu.edu
You will then be connected to the Law Center server. The left pane of the screen will show the drives on your computer. The right pane will show you the drives on the Law Center Servers. Because this system is open to Staff and Students more drives will appear than can be accessed by most users. Students have access to STUHOME (your personal h: drive) and STUSHARE (a place to share information with other students). Staff and faculty have access to HOME (personal H: drive) and LAWSHARE (S: drive).
This program is a file transfer program. We do not recommend opening files directly off of the Law Center storage space. For example, if you wanted to transfer a file from your computer to your personal space (H: drive) on the Law Center system, you would first double click on the STUHOME folder (law students) or HOME folder (faculty/staff) in the right pane. Upon doing that, your personal space on the Law Center server will display. Any files you have saved in your H: drive should be listed. Now you will simply locate the file you want to transfer from your computer in the left pane, and drag the file over to the right pane. You can do the same thing in reverse in order to transfer files from the Law Center server to your computer.
When the transfers are complete, I will press the red “X” in the top right corner of the screen.
