Kristi Wagley Richard
"I am still amazed that I am taught by the people who actually had a hand in making the laws of the state or wrote the treatises that we all rely upon for help. Sometimes I feel as though I have a backstage pass to know what is going on and what the true intent of laws are by listening to their stories."
The LSU Law Center features the only joint degree program, Juris Doctor/Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law, in the United States and is only one of two such programs in the Western Hemisphere.

Articles in the Louisiana Civil Code are numbered in a continuous manner, beginning with Article 1 in the Preliminary Title, and ending with Article 3556 at the end of Book IV.
A click on EN provides access to the table of contents in English and allows consulting the Louisiana Civil Code in English.
A click on FR provides access to the table of contents in French and allows consulting the Louisiana Civil Code in French.
A click on EN/FR opens a second window allowing you to read the Louisiana Civil Code in both English and French. However, the table of contents will appear in English only. You must click FR to access the table of contents in French.
