This site gives access to the current version of the Louisiana Civil Code in its original English text. The Center of Civil Law Studies at LSU is presently working on a translation into French, which appears progressively on this site. This translation has no official legal standing. Scholars and practitioners should remember that the English version always controls, and are invited to double-check with the website of the Louisiana Legislature for latest changes.
