Jason St. Julien I consider myself fortunate to have the friendships I have created thus far at the Law Center. The students I have met come from a wide array of backgrounds and their stories are equally diverse and interesting. There is a sense of unity and companionship throughout the Law Center that is fostered by our common goal to become successful practicing lawyers. I look forward to continuing these relationships long after leaving the halls of the Law Center. Career ServicesLSU Law Center’s Career Services Office is dedicated to assisting students and alumni. Our career counselors will help you define career objectives and identify employment opportunities based on your experience, interests, values, skills, and geographic preferences. We are committed to providing students and alumni with a wide variety of career planning and job search resources to assist in your search for employment during law school and after graduation. We conduct ongoing outreach to local and national employers including law firms, corporations, governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, and the federal and state judiciary, and maintain up-to-date information on the current state of the legal job market. Our counselors conduct individual counseling sessions, and our office hosts skills development workshops and career-focused professional development programs. We also host guest speakers and events for students to network with alumni. The Career Services Office sponsors a wide variety of career-related programs throughout the school year. These programs are designed to promote early student self-assessment, pique students’ interest in specialized areas of legal practice, and encourage students to think about job opportunities as they develop a post-graduation employment plan. We invite you to take advantage of our resources and programs. It is never too early to begin thinking about your future as a new lawyer, and what career path you may take.
