Paul Hebert ('75) was elected to the Lafayette Bar Association Board for 2008-09.

Michael Rubin, 1975

Michael H. Rubin ('75), a senior member at McGlinchey Stafford, was selected as Best Lawyers in America’s 2009 Baton Rouge Banking Lawyer of the Year.

Alton Bayard, 1976

Alton E. Bayard III ('76), an attorney with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, was named to Louisiana Super Lawyers.

Malcolm S. Murchison ('77) is now practicing with the firm of Bradley, Murchison, Kelly & Shea, which has offices in Shreveport and New Orleans.

Robert Nuzum, 1977

Robert W. Nuzum ('77), an attorney with Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, was named to Louisiana Super Lawyers.

Miles A. Matt ('88) was elected Immediate Past President of the Lafayette Bar Association, following his previous service as president.

Wayne Bunch, 1989

Wayne P. Bunch Jr. ('89), with the firm of Jackson Walker's Houston office, was recently named partner. He works in the Corporate & Securities practice group.

1990s

Shannon Dartez ('94) was elected to the Lafayette Bar Association Board for 2008-09.

Dean Doherty ('95) was elected to the Lafayette Bar Association Board for 2008-09.

Sherb Sentell, 1995

Sherb Sentell III ('95), the Chief Assistant District Attorney for Schuyler Marvin at the Webster District Attorney's Office, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is the Operations Officer of the 7th Brigade of the 95th Division, which has historically played an important role in training soldiers. He was also awarded the meritorious service medal for exceptional performance as a Battalion Executive Officer and as the Brigade Operations Officer.

Keith W. Lapeze ('98) has left Vinson & Elkins to start his own firm in Houston, Lapeze & Dunahoe.

Maggie Simar ('98) was elected to the Lafayette Bar Association Board for 2008-09.

Greg Koury, 1999

Greg Koury ('99) was elected President of the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association. He was also elected to the Lafayette Bar Association Board for 2008-09.

Tara Richard, 1999

Tara G. Richard ('99), a partner with Jones Walker, was named one of two finalists for the American Bar Association's Young Lawyer Division 2008 Outstanding Young Lawyer. She was also honored at CityBusiness' 2009 Leadership in Law reception. The New Orleans publication recognized 50 legal professionals based on their legal, professional, and community contributions.

Cynthia Simon ('99) was elected President-Elect of the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association.

2000s

Elena Arcos-Pecoraro ('00) was elected to the Lafayette Bar Association Board for 2008-09.

Kyle Ferachi, 2001

Kyle A. Ferachi ('01), a member in the firm of McGlinchey Stafford's labor and employment section, will serve as the 2009-10 chair of the Young Lawyers' Section of the Baton Rouge Bar Association.

Lee White, 2001

Lee A. White ('01), with the firm of Jackson Walker's Dallas office, was recently named partner. He works in the firm's Real Estate practice group.

Donovan J. O'Pry II ('02) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.

Brandon Letulier ('03) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.

Jacqueline Manecke ('03) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.

Steven Ramos ('03) was elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association.

Amanda Stout, 2003

Amanda Stout ('03), an associate in the firm of McGlinchey Stafford's labor and employment section, is the 2009 recipient of the Judge Joseph Keogh award. The award, given annually by the Baton Rouge Bar Association, is the highest award that a young attorney is eligible to receive from the Bar Association.

Jonathan Woods ('03) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.

Jeremy Morrow ('04) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.

Michael Leachman, 2005

Michael K. Leachman ('05) has joined the firm of Jones Walker's Baton Rouge office as an associate in the firm's Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group's Intellectual Property section.

Jeremy Shealy ('06) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.

Rachel Godley ("07) was elected to the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association Board for 2008-09.
