This award of $900 is provided by the Lafayette Parish Bar Association. The recipient must be from either Acadia, Vermillion, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, Iberia or Evangeline Parishes. The student must be a female and a rising senior at the Law Center. The student must be enrolled in at least one family law, family mediation or domestic violence clinic; and have completed at least 2 family law courses. Applicants apply directly to the Lafayette Parish Bar, and must include: a cover letter; statement as to why the funds are needed; explain how they meet the qualifications; include a resume; include a copy of high school diploma; parents current address and a transcript.
