Brace B. Godfrey, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

The Brace B. Godfrey, Jr. Endowed Scholarship was established in 2010 by Mr. John D. Schneider, a 1976 LSU Law graduate, in memory of his business partner, Brace B. Godfrey, Jr. Mr. Godfrey's untimely death in March 2010 was deeply felt by many. He had been principal partner in the Godfrey Schneider Law Firm and had most recently joined with Mr. Schneider in developing two of downtown Baton Rouge's signature buildings - the Kress @ Third and Main and the Hotel Indigo. Mr. Schneider established the scholarship to commemorate Mr. Godfrey's outstanding career and lifetime contributions to his community. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide assistance to entering or full-time students in the Law Center. Financial need may be a consideration.
