LSU Law Center Announces 2012 Distinguished Alumnus and Distinguished Achievement Awards

Chancellor Jack M. Weiss has announced that W. Henson Moore III will be honored as the 2012 LSU Law Center Distinguished Alumnus of the Year and the Honorable Elizabeth Foote, Honorable Bonnie Foster Jackson, C. Kris Kirkpatrick, William Morrison Meyers and R. Patrick Vance will be honored for Distinguished Achievement at an awards brunch on Saturday, October 20 at Nottoway Plantation in White Castle, Louisiana.

Wall Street Journal: LSU Law Ranks Near Top in Full-Time Employment of Law Graduates

The LSU Law Center ranks 11th in the nation in the percentage of 2011 graduates employed in full-time, long-term legal jobs within 9 months of graduation, according to an analysis published earlier today by the Wall Street Journal. Some 81.25% of the graduates of the LSU Law Class of 2011 were employed in a full-time, long-term job requiring a legal degree.
