LSU Law Students Win Multiple Awards at Southern Regional BLSA Competition
January 29, 2008

Three teams of students from the LSU Law Center attended the Southern Regional Black Law Students Association Convention in Columbia, SC on January 23- 27 where they participated in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition and the Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition. All three teams advanced to the Quarterfinal rounds or better in their respective competitions. In doing so, LSU was the only law school in the Southern Region that had three teams advance to this level. LSU also won the Best Brief- Respondent award in the Frederick Douglass Competition.
