Professor Christina Sautter served as a discussant on the Money and Markets panel at the Law and Society Association 2013 Annual Meeting held in Boston, MA on May 31, 2013.

Professor Philip Hackney’s article What We Talk About When We Talk About Exemption will be published in the forthcoming issue of the Virginia Tax Review.

Professor Hackney was part of a panel on exempt organizations at the 8th Annual Junior Tax Scholars Workshop at University of Miami Law School on May 23, 2013.

Professor Christopher J. Tyson has been named to Lawyers of Color's 50 Under 50 list, a comprehensive catalog of minority law professors making an impact in legal education.

Professor Keith Hall will teach International Petroleum Transactions at Baku State University Law School in Azerbaijan in May 2013. His students will be Azeri lawyers who are seeking graduate degrees in law that are equivalent to an LLM.

Professor Ed Dawson’s article Adjusting the Presumption of Constitutionality Based on Margin of Statutory Passage has been accepted for publication in volume 16 of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law.

LSU Law is ranked #19 in a new list developed by U.S. News that shows which law schools are able to produce the highest educational quality, as determined by their place in the 2014 U.S. News rankings, but spend relatively less money to achieve that quality.
The LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center awarded degrees to 213 students during Commencement ceremonies held May 31, 2013, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Louisiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson (’69) delivered the keynote address to the graduates.
The LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center will hold commencement exercises Friday, May 31 at 9:30 a.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on the LSU campus. Louisiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Bernette Joshua Johnson, LSU Law ’69, will serve as the commencement speaker.
The LSU Law Center community, along with family and friends, honored alumnus John P. Laborde (’49) on Thursday, May 2, 2013 for his historic gift to the Law Center.
The LSU Law Center will hold Commencement Exercises on Friday, May 31, 2013, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center located on the LSU Campus. The Honorable Bernette Joshua Johnson, Chief Justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court, will serve as Commencement speaker.
LSU Law made the Top 10 list for “real lawyers” based on an analysis of the employment data in the 2014 U.S. News and World Report law school ranking.
