The 1st ever National Young Energy Professionals’ Law Conference was held in New Orleans, Louisiana March 31-April 1, 2017. From the Center for American and International Law website:

Designed primarily for energy attorneys under 40 years of age, this conference will (1) provide young energy professionals with opportunities to network with their peers from in-house and law firm environments to build relationships that will benefit them professionally, (2) provide significant hours of energy related CLE for a low price, and (3) provide professional development training that will help attendees to be better lawyers and to reach their goals. The conference is co-sponsored by the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and Houston Young Lawyers Association and supported by BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil, all of whom have agreed to send some of their young lawyers to the conference.

The conference substantive programming features over ten hours of CLE credits, including two hours of ethics CLE, as well as programs on networking, managing skills and reaching your career goals. The conference will also feature new Exxon Mobil Corporation General Counsel Randall M. Ebner as the keynote luncheon speaker.

Of course a young lawyers conference, especially one in New Orleans, would not be complete without opportunity to network and have fun. The program will start on Thursday, March 30th, with a Welcome Reception in the Briars Suite at Pat O’Brien’s on Bourbon Street. On Friday evening, there will be an optional social event at Bourbon Vieux, which will feature a balcony over Bourbon St.

We hope to see you there.
