James Napper, a local Intellectual Property attorney whose practice is based heavily in New Orleans, will be speaking about the nuts and bolts of film production as it operates in Louisiana. Topics to be covered include property acquisitions, distribution, financing, and actual production.
James Napper earned his L.L.M. in Intellectual Property Law at George Washington University Law School in 2009. Recent Publications include “Who Dat: The NFL, New Orleans, and the Implications of LSU v. Smack Apparel” and “Life as Art: How Technology and the Infusion of Music into Daily Life Spurred the Sound Recordings Act of 1971”. His areas of practice include production counsel, acquisitions and development, delivery and distribution, film finance, and intellectual property.
