Gene W. Lafitte Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Gene W. Lafitte (’52), a The Order of the Coif graduate of LSU Law. Priority for this scholarship is given to students who demonstrate strong academic performance.

Mr. Lafitte is currently of counsel to Liskow & Lewis in New Orleans, on both oil and gas matters and business litigation.

He has served as a panelist on complex commercial cases for the American Arbitration Association. He is a former president and member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been selected for inclusion for more than 25 years for The Best Lawyers in America.

A past chairman of the board of the Louisiana State University Foundation, Mr. Lafitte served in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps as a first lieutenant.
