1950s

James Dewey O'Brien ('50) has written and published his autobiography entitled An American Experience, The First Ninety-three Years.  It is to be released this month by Otter Bay Books of Baltimore, MD.  Mr. O'Brien spent most of his career at the U.S. Department of Justice where he served under 6 presidents, first as a trial lawyer, then as legistlative liaison in tax law, and finally as Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Tax Division, D.O.J.  After his retirement he served as "of counsel" to varios law firms in the D.C area.

1970s

George H. Robinson, Jr. ('74)  of the firm Liskow & Lewis was named "Energy Lawyer of the Year" by Baton Rouge Area Best Lawyers 2011.

1980s

Susan Halsey ('83) of the law firm Steven Jackson Walker was selected as a 2010 Fort Worth "Top Attorney" by Fort Worth, Texas magazine, which annual features the "Top Attorneys" in Tarrant County.

Victoria Kolakowski ('89) of Alameda County, CA was elected to a seat on the Alameda County Superior Court.

1990s

William M. Quin II ('97) of the Jackson, Mississippi firm of McCraney Montagnet & Quin was named 'Rising Star' in the 2010 edition of Mid-South Super Lawyers and was selected for inclusion in the 2011 edition of the 'Best Lawyers in America' in the area of Plantiff's Personal Injury.

2000s

Katherine Binns ('00) of the San Francisco firm of Sedgwick, Deter, Moran & Arnold has been elevated to partner.  Her area of practice focuses on product liablity, toxic torts and asbestos, business litigation and construction cases.  She is also a registered patent attorney and defends infringment, trade secret litigation and related matters.

Cortney Alexander ('02) was promoted to partner at the Altlanta, GA firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunnar LLP.  His area of practice focuses on patent litigation in federal district courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission.  His practice encompasses a wide array of technologies, primarily in the electrical, biomedical and mechanical arts.

Damon Bowe ('09)  is the co-founder of the Terrebone Triathlon Team, and who just participated in the Ford Ironman World Championship on October 8th, in Kona, Hawaii, where he finished with a time of 13 hours, 23 minutes and 59 seconds.
