1970s

Alton E. "Biff" Bayard, III ('76) - of the Baton Rouge office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC was recently named chair of the firm's Tax Department.
Foster April 2013 Murphy Foster, III ('79) - of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, LLP, has been elected to the Management Committee.
James N. Mansfield, III ('79) - a shareholder in the Lafayette office of Liskow & Lewis, is a chapter author in the recently published Lousiana Mineral Law Treatise. The treatise is the first of its kind and is the result of a three-year project of the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

1980s

Susan Halsey ('82) - of the Fort Worth office of Jackson Walker, was recently selected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. Fellows of the Foundation are selected for their outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout the state of Texas. Ms. Halsey was also recently selected for inclusion in the 2013 edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business for Texas in Real Estate.
David C. Myers ('85) - a partner in the Dallas office of Jackson Walker, has been selected for inclusion in the 2013 BTI Client Services All-Star Team report that was published by The BTI Consulting Group in February 2013.
Jude Bursavich ('88) - of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, LLP, has been elected to the Management Committee.
Shelly D. Dick ('88) - has been confirmed as a U.S. District Judge for the Middle District of Louisiana.  The seat has been vacant since the death of Chief U.S. District Judge Ralph Tyson ('73).
Emory A. Belton, Jr. ('89) - the principal of Belton Consulting, LLC and Belton Law Firm, LLC, has joined the Baton Rouge Office of Bradley, Murchison, Kelly & Shea's Baton Rouge office as special counsel.

1990s

Richard B. Easterling ('90) - has recently joined the Baton Rouge office of Taylor Porter as Of Counsel. Mr. Easterling's areas of practice include govermental relations and regulatory matters with a focus on alcohol beverages licensing and compliance.
Marshall Grodner ('90) - of the Baton Rouge office of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC, has been elected to serve as Vice President of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys for 2013.
Gary P. Graphia ('91) - Kean Miller LLP has announced that Gary Graphia has re-joined their firm's Baton Rouge office. A partner in the firm until 1999, Mr. Graphia served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of The Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SHAW / now CB&I) from 1999-2007. Mr. Graphia was elevated to Executive Vice President for Corporate Development and Strategy and became the company's Chief Operating Officer in 2008 until he retired in May 2012. Graphia also recently served as Executive Counsel to Governor Bobby Jindal.
Lt. Col. Charles Sherburne "Sherb" Sentell, III ('95) - recently served as a guest speaker at Penn State University's Dickinson School of Law. Sentell spoke to the criminal law school class and gave them his perspective of what it is like to handle criminal cases as a prosecutor for the State of Louisiana. Sentell has over 10 years of experience as an Assistant District Attorney in handling trials involving serious felonies.
Tara L. Mason ('96) - has recently joined the law firm of Courington, Kiefer & Sommers, LLC. Ms. Mason's areas of practice are insurance defense and toxic tort/asbestos litigation.
Elizabeth Mendell Carmody ('98) - has been selected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the LADC, representing District 6 (Shreveport and the surrounding area).
Thomas Temple ('98) - of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, LLP, has been elected to the Management Committee. Thomas joined the Baton Rouge office in 1998 and became partner in 2004. He is currently the head of the Insurance Industry Team and is a member of the firm's Casualty Litigation section. Temple was recently recognized as a Rising Star in Civil Litigation Defense.
Daniel R. Estrada ('99) - of the New Orleans office of Courington, Kiefer & Sommers, LLC, was recently elected President-elect of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Louisiana.

2000s

Emily B. Grey ('00) - of the Baton Rouge office of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, was recognized as a Rising Star in Health Care.
Kyle Ferachi ('01) - of the Baton Rouge office of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC, has been selected for the 2013 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD). Mr. Ferachi is the Managing Member of McGlinchey Stafford's Houston office. His practice includes commercial litigation and labor and employment law.
Kyle Bacon ('03) - of the Lafayette office of Jones Walker Law Firm, has been named partner. His practice areas includes mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, secured financing, private equity investments, commercial transactions and corporate counseling.
Jason R. Bonnet ('03) - of the New Orleans office of Leake & Anderson LLP, has been named Partner in the firm.
Jocelyn C. Stewart ('03) - recently left active duty after nine years of service with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate Generals's Corps. Stewart is currently Of Counsel with law the firm of Gonzales & Waddington, LLC in Washington state. Her area of practice is the worldwide court-martial defense of all armed services.
Erik Piazza ('04) - of the Baton Rouge office of Phelps Dunbar, has been elected to partnership. Mr. Piazza's practice focuses on real estate matters, including commercial and residential developments, commercial leases, banking/financing, condominium regimes and other commercial transactions.
Brianne S. Rome ('04) - of Liskow & Lewis, has been elected a sharehold in the firm effective January 2013. Rome practices in the Employee Benefits Practice Group, providing consultation and advice with respect to tax-qualified retirement plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, and health and welfare plans.
Franz Borghardt ('06) - recently joined the Law Office of Steven J. Moore as an associate.
Eric B. Landry ('06) - of the Baton Rouge office of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, has been named partner effective January 2013.
Rachel Stoddard Morris ('06) - has joined the law firm of Evans & Davis in Edmond, Oklahoma. Ms. Morris's practice wil focus on Domestic & Family Law.
Traci S. Thompson ('06) - an associate with the Baton Rouge office of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, has been named partner effective January 2013.
Dylan Thriffiley ('08) - recently joined Kean Miller LLP as an associate in their New Orleans office. Ms. Thriffiley will practice in the admiralty, maritime, and energy groups.
